Instructional Designer/Project Manager

Vitamin T is actively looking for a Instructional Designer/Project Manager. This candidate will need to reside in or near Grand Rapids for this project. It is onsite. The candidate will lead the conceptualization, development, implementation of programs, training and performance support, to meet the growing needs of our client. Classroom development is important. This individual will design and produce learning standards, learning objects and instructionally sound programs through various technology based tools. Provides expertise regarding online learning format integrity and new learning technologies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Engages with corporate learning leaders, project sponsors/stakeholders to create strategic instructional direction to ensure proper development of learning solutions, blended e-learning solutions, ILT and interactive on-line courses to support learning strategy
• Development and implementation of design documentation and project management of learning projects
• Hands-on ownership of all aspects of the ADDIE model to support the Talent team learning strategy
• Partner with in-region global peers to create, execute and leverage learning standards and solutions.
• Provides training on eLearning production for the business to ensure eLearning developed outside of Talent follows VIS and LMS standards.
• Work with vendors to vet viability of and implementation of external learning programs as it relates standard OS and LMS standards.
• Works with Learning Solutions Manager to leverage current technology and anticipate industry trends & online best practices
• Executes testing standards for new product releases/patches and communicates findings
• Troubleshooting and day-to-day execution of L&D projects
• Designs, improves and maintains custom LMS elements
• Create print deliverables
• Perform quality checks, testing, and reviews on modules

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Information Design, Instructional Development or related fields.
• Master’s degree in Instructional Design / Technology preferred.
• 5 years of work experience
• Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, learning styles, learner needs, delivery of Web-based and multimedia content
• Experience with Learning Management System administration – SuccessFactors preferred
• Ability to incorporate the most effective, leading-edge instructional approaches and technologies
• Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders
• Conceptual, innovation and strategic thinker, team player, excellent communication skills with clients and coworkers
• Attention to detail and strong work ethic
• Experience working within CPG industry preferred (Consumer Packaged Goods)
• Exceptional technical writing skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under aggressive deadlines (project management and time management skills)

Required Technical Skills:
• Experience and proficiency using SuccessFactors LMS
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite including SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• HTML, JAVA, SQL, XML

Preferred Technical Skills:
• Use of rapid development content tools (Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, etc.) to create online courseware
• Experience with WebEx Virtual classroom
• Mobile content creation
• Multimedia, video production and editing
• Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flash
