Instructional Designer, Customer Experience

The Worldwide Consumer Sales Training organization at Aquent's client is a dynamic and creative team that helps clients sales partners represent the high quality of the brand in over ninety countries. For this assignment we’re looking for the right person to join them in creating world-class customer experiences in thousands of retail locations around the world.  You’ll bring thought leadership; a passion for customer experience and for helping people learn; and deep expertise in adult learning and development. You’ll embrace new and exciting challenges as we move at the speed of sales. And you’ll define the learning journey for millions of salespeople globally.

Here are some of the things you’ll do:
¥ Design and develop content to support a variety of training needs and delivery types—web and mobile app, performance support, virtual classroom, and classroom
¥ Present training designs and strategies to management and key stakeholders
¥ Become an expert in our audiences across routes to market and regions
¥ Take ownership of multimodal training solutions—from developing and implementing content for multiple audiences to understanding and making recommendations on how content fits in with other training programs
¥ Collaborate with multiple teams across client and regions
¥ Facilitate train-the-trainer events
¥ Work with peers, editors, and other creatives to produce training deliverables in the conversational, intelligent, and elegant style that reflects the client brand

Here’s what you’ll need to excel in this role:
¥ Three-plus years of instructional design experience designing global and highly interactive soft- skills learning solutions, preferably for a corporate or sales environment
¥ Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models
¥ Experience facilitating classroom training
¥ Deep understanding of what shapes an exceptional customer experience and the behaviors needed to deliver this experience across diverse cultures
¥ Ability to champion your own ideas, embrace others’ ideas, and compromise when needed
¥ Ability to communicate ideas simply and clearly to peers, management, and business partners
¥ High attention to detail
¥ Self-driven to collaborate and seek feedback while staying on goal
¥ Open to occasional travel if required

Bonus qualifications:
¥ Experience defining and developing training for a customer experience framework
¥ Experience using techniques such as improv or game design in training
¥ Experience working in a retail environment
¥ Passion for client and client products
¥ Experience using multimedia tools to create training solutions—for example, HTML, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Final Cut Pro

Education
¥ A master’s degree in instructional design or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
