Instructional Designer

This contract to hire (full-time) position is responsible for creating self-paced, online courseware and performance simulations, as well as traditional blended, leader-led workshops.

The ideal candidate will possess a highly developed ability to distill information into logical, short format content chunks, visualizations and activities consistent with an ‘adults learn-by-doing’ philosophy.

Specific Job Responsibilities

- Design and create online courseware and simulated learning experiences to train audiences of sales and marketing professionals.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts at all levels of the organization to identify, validate and shape content for learner needs.
- Work with cross functional teams to expand structured, skills adoption programming consisting of stage relevant reinforcement paks, knowledge checks and scenarios.
- Seek out and translate current cognitive research and brain science data into memorable instructional design.
- Incorporate facilitator feedback, participant evaluations and customer results to improve learning effectiveness

Required Skills

- Possess a thorough and personal passion for user experience.
- 7+ years’ experience working with moderately complex content to design learning plans for online and traditional classroom delivery modalities.
- Proficient authoring courses using Articulate Storyline, familiarity using other eLearning tools that do not require programming a plus.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, with a natural aptitude for learning new applications.
- Appreciation of the cultural sensitivities inherent in a global client base, experience working internationally and/or multilingual ability a plus.
- Ability to work independently and self-manage projects.
- Exemplary written, verbal and listening communication skills.
- Acute attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
