Instructional Designer

The Instructional Design Consultant is responsible for the design and development of multiple types of high quality Sales Training learning solutions. This role is part of the Biopharmaceuticals Sales Training unit within Human Resources; this is not an IT role.

• Designs and develops effective Sales learning solutions which meet the needs identified (i.e. selling skills, model sales calls, competitive selling, portfolio selling, etc.).
• Using the ADDIE model, develops and designs training materials, documents, and resources insuring identification of effective knowledge and behavioral objectives, training strategies, and outcome measures, and overall training effectiveness metrics.
• Identifies a variety of training techniques and mediums to insure training addresses all learning styles.
• Actively manages multiple projects related to training development, including content development, subject-matter expert review, and appropriate metrics.
• Develops and implements tools to measure training effectiveness in partnership with the measurement specialists and subsequent evaluations and revisions of training content and design as needed.
• Manages vendor/supplier relationships insuring excellent instructional design and quality of all deliverables.
• Communicates effectively and efficiently with all customers and internal partners.
• Participates in all appropriate project meetings, training events and evaluations, and all relevant communications.
• Evaluates implementation of all training curriculum, leaders guides, participant guides, exercises and other training related materials as required.
• Completes all additional projects assigned by the A.D., BioPharm Sales Training.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
• 5+ years of training in a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting and instructional design
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and application of this knowledge to instructional design.
• A thorough understanding and practical experience in the following areas:
• Training Needs Assessment & Training Strategies Development
• Training Delivery
• Learner Assessment
• Training Program Evaluation
• Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills.
• A strong work ethic, ability to learn quickly, persistence, initiative and confidence.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time (for example: co-coordinating organization wide initiatives).
• Outstanding dexterity to interact with and influence decisions/change across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to tailor communication to individual needs while effectively managing conflict.
• Ability to work with multiple partners and collaborators seamlessly.
