Instructional Designer

One of our pharmaceutical clients is looking for an Instructional Designer for a 6-month contract position. This role is responsible for assessing, designing, developing, delivering and supporting the evaluation of training programs and activities for all employees (exempt, non-exempt and contract) engaged in Compliance and Regulatory related training. The role supports the identification of job skills and knowledge needed to ensure compliance and appropriate performance to Corporate and Division policies, procedures and to maintain GMP regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Understands and implements the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) instructional design model, or equivalent, and adult learning principles.
2. Develops state-of-the-art course content and other training resources for a variety of audiences using multiple delivery methods.
3. Provides subject matter expertise for business process, technology and systems.
4. Develops metrics for evaluating training and demonstrating proficiency or impact on performance.
5. Leads and participates on training project teams.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors Degree (Workforce Education, Industrial Psychology, Business, Marketing or other related field) with related health science background; advance degree preferred.
Minimum 7 years training experience and 5 years related healthcare experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in educational technologies, project planning and instructional design.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate theory, concepts, and practices to a variety of audiences.
• Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory compliance preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in eLearning, Instructional design and learning management systems and train-the-trainer strategies.
• Knowledge and experience with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) instructional design model or equivalent. Experience with multiple training delivery approaches.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
• Multi-media knowledge - creating and editing videos
• Solid knowledge of the regulations and ensuring appropriate performance in compliance with cGXPs.
• Foundation in process management and organization development.
• Capable of dealing with a broad range of employee needs; direct experience in orientating new employees.
• In-depth understanding of Adult learning principles.
• Sound comprehension of instructional design and various training methodologies (e.g., lecture, case studies, role plays, tests, etc.).
• Knowledge of media-based learning elements (e.g., Web-based, videos, etc. as well as their use in blended learning programs).
• Strong application of knowledge transfer (especially in developing structured OJT).
• Extensive skill in observing and providing feedback to learners.
