Instructional Designer

Description:
You will be working with this highly successful video streaming service's internal teams and partners to uncover learning opportunities, skill gaps and define cutting-edge learning strategies, pushing the boundaries of eLearning.
You possess strong relationship-building skills and are able to resolve learning, technical and instructional issues with subject matter experts and partners in order to empower our creators.
You have social community management experience and understand how to leverage the power of a community to enhance a learning experience and ensure the learning continues even after the learning intervention concludes.

Responsibilities:
-Conduct Job-Task analysis across various parts of the business organization to help define the key skills, behaviors and knowledge required for scalable success.
-Develop learning objectives based on interviews and facilitated sessions with key stakeholders from across YouTube and selected partner organizations.
-Employ innovative instructional design techniques for web-based training approaches.
-Drive on-time development of learning materials with both Subject Matter Experts and technical training development teams.
-Project-manage development of individual learning components.
-Create a maintenance strategy for existing content ensuring all content is updated with relevant product enhancements/updates .


Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS degree
3+ years of instructional design experience
Strong background in instructional design and a track record of bringing innovative approaches and learning strategies to learners
Ability to turn objectives into learning interventions
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong interpersonal skills
Must provide portfolio with work samples

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in facilitating the development of new instructional technologies including Khan-Academy style videos, gamification, social-learning environments and MOOCs
Development of innovative learning assessment and evaluation strategies
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under ambitious timeframes in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
Background in digital marketing or programming a plus
Ability to juggle multiple projects and to bring deliverables in on a deadline
