Vitamin T is currently in search of an Instructional Designer for our client in Grand Rapids. This is a long-term opportunity!

This Instructional Design (ID) position applies the knowledge of instructional design and the art and discipline of project management. Under the guidance of a Senior Design Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for interfacing with internal stakeholders (management and subject matter experts) as well as vendor partners to ensure effective project execution. This position will help advance projects through analysis, scoping, and high-level design, and then work with high caliber vendors as partners on the detailed design and development.

The successful individual will leverage his/her proficiency to…
• Assist in envisioning the appropriate solution(s) and creating high-level design documents
• Assist in contracting with external vendors based on project requirements
• Manage project plan, scope, schedule, stakeholder satisfaction and budget
• Facilitate communication between team members (External and Internal) to resolve outstanding questions and issues and assure timely reviews of materials.
• Review, assess and manage the vendors’ design and development outputs (ID, media, copy)
• Review deliverables for completeness as well as adherence to brand , design and technical specifications
• Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving issues that may arise during a project and negotiating successful resolution of the issues

The accomplished individual will possess…
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or Learning and Development from an accredited college or university
• Experience developing Instructor led and e-learning solutions
• 1-5 years of experience developing learning solutions
• 1-2 years of experience in business or sales/product training development
• Experience in managing course development projects (instructor led, e-learning,)
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• MS Office technical proficiency,
• Willingness to conduct business on a global basis with evening phone/web calls
• Willingness to work on site at Amway World headquarters
• Interested in working in the Beauty and skin care category
An outstanding candidate will possess, but is not required to have….
• Master’s degree in Instructional Design from an accredited college or university.
• A portfolio of technology based learning projects
• Prior experience developing training programs for the Beauty or Skin Care industry
• Proven project management performance with on-time, under-budget delivery
• Experience creating mobile learning solutions
