Instructional Designer

Design, develop and launch training materials for business by using instructional design principles for internal and external partners.


Designs training programs, including classroom lectures, online courses, software simulation or self-study sessions directed at employees, organization members, and external business partners
Develops and updates course content and coordinates learning curriculum with delivery team and other business owners
Works to build and strengthen all relationships with internal parties to expand our training programs
Develop instructional outlines, course curricula, assessment tests and quick reference material for classroom, online, and video courses
Provide follow-up support and assessment testing, on an ongoing basis, to determine the effectiveness of the training provided by the delivery team
Load and administer training content in content management system
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Must work collaboratively and cross-functionally with process experts
Has in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the related field as well as concepts, practices, and procedures
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals


Bachelors Degree in an applicable discipline highly desired
Four or more years experience in training, instructional design or graphic design
Professional certificates in Training and Development highly desired

Work Experience and Education Guidelines:

Knowledge of content management systems/knowledge bases a plus
Training and instructional development experience (online and e-learning a plus)
Knowledge of training philosophies and adult educational practices
Working experience in animation and tutorial tools such as Captivate, Camtasia, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.
Must have a high level of competence working with MS Office
Experience in developing/delivering train-the-trainer programs
Exceptional communication aptitude, both written and oral
Strong interpersonal skills
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
Ability to understand complex processes and tools and distill them for general audiences
Basic project management skills a plus
Travel and/or Technology business experience a plus
