Instructional Designer

Our health care client located in Rancho Cordova, CA has an immediate need for a contract Instructional Designer with ADDIE and Captivate experience. This client will require drug and background screening 

Responsible for interaction design work such as navigational structures, information maps, and working prototypes to fulfill functional and user requirements for web-based content and applications.

Collaborates with visual designers, user experience analysts, and product managers to define the user experience strategy, spearhead a user centered design process and develop usable, useful and compelling website experiences..

Identifies target audience and objectives, analyze needs, set scope and interface strategies providing project teams with functional templates, prototype and site maps to be used as a blueprint for graphic design, content and technical development..

May oversee the planning and execution of web projects, project schedules and collaboration among project owners, contributors and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.

Responsible for functions which range from routine to highly complex within assigned product or process area and narrow to broad in scope. 

Makes decisions on a variety of matters consistent with goals and objectives of group, often with significant business/financial impact. 

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. 

Manages personal duties and areas of responsibility on a day-to-day basis with periodic assistance and direction from others. 

Typically analyzes, designs, develops, implements processes/solutions that are often used by others. 

Consults and makes recommendations to management on market trend and/or operational issues. 

May play significant role in marketing, customer outreach, correspondence, training, and incentive activities. 

May instruct, guide and oversee work of lower-level professionals. 

Uses concepts and abilities to solve problems. 

Is able to function independently, normally receives little instruction on day to day work, general instructions on new assignments 

Ability encompasses in-depth knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization.

Strong communication skills 

Strong Business analyst skills 

Recognized health plan business process knowledge in one or more of the following areas: customer acquisition, sales and employer/producer processes, membership installation, customer service, claims processing, health provider processes, medical management, data processing, content management 

Strong Functional and/or Technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: web tool/application/portal, electronic communication/collaboration, data exchange (EDI, HIPAA, direct), online navigation/publishing/interaction/access/use 

Experienced in the areas of business process and/or system analysis 

Knowledge specific to a given product or process with solid understanding of concepts, practices and procedures within particular field of specialization (Domain expertise). 

A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways 

Bachelors degree in business, health care or technology related field

5+ years of related experience 

Captivate Experience with e-course development Required
