Instructional Designer

Singlehandedly credited with creating some of the most impactful products of this generation, this leader in consumer electronics is looking for an Instructional Designer for a 12-month contract position at their Santa Clara Valley location.

The Instructional Designer consults with various business stakeholders to identify training needs and create fresh, current instructor-led and computer-based solutions using refined instructional design and adult learning principles, utilizing innovative solutions on the cutting edge of technology. You’ll work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced dynamic environment that demands high quality, creativity and consistency.

You’ll work with stakeholders to determine training needs of a particular group and work closely with subject matter experts and other developers to develop training content for course portfolios and curricula. You’ll design, develop, and maintain classroom, virtual classroom, and self-paced training content. You’ll also deliver content in both classroom and distance learning settings while ensuring that your training is innovative, engaging and on the cutting edge of training technology.

Required skills:
- Knowledge and understanding of instructional design process for both classroom based and online training.
- Ability to evaluate student, manager and instructor feedback and metrics in order to identify potential areas of improvement for assigned product line.
- Ability to work effectively on global and virtual teams and accommodate time differences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects within tight timeframes.

Preferred skills:
- Previous experience developing content and/or training in a customer service or technical support contact center a plus (Service Provider, Carrier Support, or Retail).
- User experience with Mac OS X, iOS, watchOS, tvOS, and Windows a plus.
- User experience with Mac, iPhone, and additional like products a plus.
- Experience with web-authoring tools and multimedia (basic HTML coding skills, Dreamweaver, javascript & CSS a plus).
- Experience authoring content for/within a Content Management System a plus.
- Experience with Plateau Learning Management System or SABA a plus.
