1. Functions in learning consulting capacity with business partner and end user groups to design and deploy the best training/education solution.
2. Uses skills and Epic Ambulatory-certified knowledge in building and programming data and scripts in the text-side of Epic
3. Evaluates training programs, makes updates and creates instructionally sound deliverables.
4. Develop web based training and/or instructor led training while open to hybrid options as well.

Candidates must have either a bachelor degree or 6 years experience in a directly related field.

This position is responsible for providing high quality educational materials, web based, instructor led, and hybrid for all levels of clinicians and staff using technology tools to provide patient care directly to members. The purpose of this job is to provide strategic guidance in all forms of content design and development, leveraging technology platforms and excellent and consistent creative interactive design and assist in the development of web-based training. Maintain and update the eLearning and Student Placement Services web page, Administer Web-Based Training (WBT) technologies, provide design and direction and support to ensure user-friendliness, easy accessibility, and up to date information. Administers and develops as needed regional on-line staff education programs, e.g.,Compliance training, Safety and Security, etc. Maintains and updates data to support on-line learning efforts


Major Accountabilities:
• Develop, maintain, and manage the CDIS web sites, ensuring information on the site is accurate and accessible utilizing information design standards. easily and readily available to end users
• Manage the library of training resources, including job aids and recorded training, ensuring accuracy, accessibility and providing troubleshooting as needed.
• Trouble shoot problems associated with the web sites
• Promote use of the web site and the communication tools on the site to ensure that end users are getting the information they need to proficiently provide patient care
• Build and maintain custom database to meet needs of 10,000+ end users
• Management of data from training classes and proficiency efforts.
• Management of the self-assessment tools and data, providing prescriptions to user’s profile after the assessment is completed
• Produce regular reports on trends, progress, discoveries from the data and design and/or recommend remediation strategies.
• Instructional design & development experience with a concentration on simulation construction and applied learning strategies.
• Promote CDIS Technology training offerings to both regional and inter-regional audiences as appropriate
• Leverage learning technologies to ensure learning deliverables support CDIS learning strategy and end user needs while utilizing appropriate format and brand identity.
• Develops and produces course curriculum and related content and materials.
• Maximizes electronic learning support tools to support the CDIS learning strategy.
• Evaluates and identifies necessary improvements to existing training programs or curricula by other learning consultants.
• Provides expertise in the CDIS virtual training space
• Manage and maintain the CDIS web pages to ensure they accurately reflect the group’s products, services, and schedule of classes.
• Test, debug, and maintain existing Internet site. Partner with IT to troubleshoot websites, LMS, SharePoint and other ELearning systems related to issues and recommend enhancements based upon the user needs
• Act as the CDIS eLearning expert
• Functions in learning consulting capacity with business partner and end user groups. Stays with current trends in learning, training and development research including theory, new materials, methods and techniques.
• Coordinate with key business partners and colleagues to determine and create course locations, schedules, and course descriptions into CDIS website, database and LMS.
• Manage resources/materials/registrations for all educational offerings and events, including the delegation of these tasks to data entry personnel.
• Support business partners to conduct/evaluate educational needs assessment and program evaluations. Maintains continuous improvement processes at key intervals post instruction.

• Build and maintain the training environments
• Uses skills and Epic Ambulatory-certified knowledge in building and programming data and scripts in the text-side of Epic
• Build “fake” training patients and medical scenarios into the training environment to meet the varying needs of end users in support of the 25 regular classes offered each month by training
• Provides access to the training build environment to all who need it.
• Replicates data such as patient, user, and provider records.
• Maintains user log on cards with assigned patients.
• Coordinates logons and patients with trainers to avoid training conflicts.
• Maintains a database of build processes, scripts, and build data
• Acts as the backup for the CDIS Environments lead


Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (including equipment operation):
• Strong project management skills required.
• Must have the ability to meet critical deadlines.
• Requires significantly complex decision-making.
• Thorough knowledge of instructional design techniques and principles.
• Thorough understanding of the PC and Windows environment.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and information architecture.
• Basic knowledge of Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Flash.
• Demonstrates customer-focused service skills.
• Solid design/page layout web based solutions.
• Mastery of instructional design principles, instructional writing, and evaluation.
• Mastery of current software application, e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, Dreamweaver, Macromedia Fireworks, and Flash.
• Problem identification and resolution skills.
• Graphic creation and manipulation.
• Competency in Web-based training authorware, e.g. Saba Publisher.
• Demonstrated consultation and influence skills.
• Proficient writing and grammar skills.
