Instructional Designer - Storyline 2

Our client is looking for an instructional designer/eLearning developer to convert an existing, instructor-led training to an eLearning course. The subject of this technical course is software programming and the audience for the course is entry-level software developers from around the world. The existing course has been created in Powerpoint, and you will be converting the slides to eLearning using Storyline 2.

To complete this project, you will work with an eLearning project manager and other eLearning developers to create a multi-module eLearning course that includes graphics, text, narration, sounds, simulations, interactions, assessments, and JavaScript. You will construct Storyline 2 slides in a template provided for you. You will write technical narration scripts and technical assessments with help from technical SMEs. You will synch narration to animation. You will review, critique and test instructional content. You will assist team members as needed.

The ideal candidate has a background in creating instructional content in a variety for formats, including instructor-led and eLearning. Ideally, you will have experience converting existing, instructor-led content into eLearning.

This role is based in Indianapolis but there is also a second spot where the manager has a strong preference for candidates located in Raleigh, North Carolina. They can sit remote in Raleigh. (East Coast candidates will also be considered)

Job Requirements
Create interactive Storyline 2 courseware, including: graphics, text, narration, sounds, interactions, assessments, and JavaScript
Record simulations of the use of cloud-based software
Interview technical SMEs to create and validate narration scripts about computer programming
Write technical narration scripts for a technical audience
Synch audio, text, and animation using Storyline 2
Work with an offshore team to produce audio narrations and synchronizations
Review curriculum and provide thoughtful, meaningful critiques of content
Test curriculum against a set of quality standards
Work with a file versioning system to synchronize files with a team of instructional designers
Work with Google Docs and Google Drive

Required skills and experience
3+ years experience as an instructional designer
