Aquent has an immediate opportunity for a Instructional Design Consultant for a four month contract opportunity with a top tier Fortune 500 company. The ideal candidate must have the ability to manage multiple stakeholder needs globally to transform existing content from Subject Matter Experts into deployable, sustainable learning materials as well as develop new content. All content needs to be relatable across all regions (North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia). Requirements: Candidates must have a portfolio of learning deliverables including learning plans, classroom/interactive training, virtual training, and any training that’s been delivered to a global audience. The Instructional Design Consultant independently analyzes performance needs, designs, develops, and assesses learning solutions that are focused on technical and/or soft skills. Creates and develops performance and competency-based learning and performance support solutions for a variety of technical and functional need. Consults with business partners and Learning & Development professionals utilizing knowledge of instructional design (ID) methodology to understand learning needs and address the impact, success, and opportunities for improvement of existing learning solutions. May partner with business leaders to develop performance-based learning that furthers team member development. Manages own projects effectively by ensuring all tasks are completed on time. Responsibilities include: • Consults with business leaders and L&D professionals to develop learning solutions that meet business objectives • Makes recommendations to ensure performance outcomes are identified and integrated into training • Consults and partners with SMEs and learning team partners to transform business knowledge into learning solutions Instructional Design: • Applies adult learning theory and principles in the design, development, and maintenance of performance-based instructional materials for a variety of delivery methods including learning plans, instructor-led training (classroom/virtual classroom), e-Learning, self-study and blended learning. • Has knowledge and ability to use ADDIE instructional design methodology and different types and levels of assessment. • Designs and develops learning strategies and solutions that are performance-focused, effective, engaging and innovative. • Conducts needs assessments and creates performance-based learning objectives in an effort to design and develop learning solutions that yield business results. • Identifies specific blended instructional activities and assessments to reinforce the retention, understanding and application of knowledge. Instructional Development: • Develops materials for medium to large-complexity projects. • Performs updates on instructional materials for a variety of delivery methods including instructor-led training (classroom/virtual classroom), e-Learning, workbooks, and job aids. • Facilitates curriculum overview for facilitators and testing of materials. • Transitions medium to high-complexity projects to implementation and deployment.
