Insights Analyst/Qualitative Market Research

Our client, a global interactive entertainment software and gaming company, is looking for an Insights Analyst to support consumer research studies, analyze data, answer ad-hoc requests, and develop reports and presentations to influence key marketing and product development decisions. The Insights Analyst will support multiple projects across the company portfolio.

Responsibilities:
- Support product lifecycle research programs to ensure product and planned marketing campaigns will resonate with relevant target audiences.
- Assist with all aspects of consumer research projects including research design, survey & discussion guide development, participant recruitment, analysis, reporting and presenting results to internal business partners.
- Obtain and assemble all assets for fieldwork including advertising materials, positioning statements, mood boards & other stimulus materials as required.
- Liaise with product marketing & product development teams on logistics for focus groups and play tests, including coordinating sourcing of test kits, firmware updates & software availability.
- Maintain online research library to enable file storing and internal sharing.
- Assist in the creation of weekly reports benchmarking the performance of game titles and tracking key indicators prior to launch.
- Answer ad-hoc queries using data such as NPD, Nielsen and other internal data sources.
- Assist with budget management and reconciliation.
- Travel to and attend focus groups and playtests.

Technical skills and experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a business/marketing field. A Master’s Degree would be a plus.
- 3+ years professional experience in a consumer insights role (vendor and/or client -side) with strong track record in both quantitative and qualitative fields.
- Proven ability to process large amounts of data into relevant, actionable insights and recommendations.
- Ability to identify trends across multiple studies.
- Expertise with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of multiple teams, and to communicate effectively to both management and creative teams.
- Experience in research in the video game or entertainment and/or sports industries preferred.
- Experience with SPSS or other statistical software a plus.

• This is a long-term, full-time, W-2 contract (contract to hire) position located in Redwood City, CA
• This position is not eligible for telecommute or offsite work
