We are looking for a talented Innovative Designer with Rapid Prototyping experience to join our client, a well-known global information service company.

You will be joining the Product Innovation team, who are tasked with delivering innovative and exciting new products and driving forward digital / tech functionality across existing material – from initial ideas and concepts, through research and development, to delivery of new products and functionality that delight customers and push the boundaries of the client’s role with their consumers.

This is a fast paced, hands on role where you will be required to be able to bring product ideas to life visually and through prototypes.

As a key player in the innovation team, you will take part in every aspect of product development from idea generation to validation of concepts with customers.

It will be your role to bring idea concepts to life visually and to support the transition of visual designs to interactive prototypes of various sorts.

Working closely with both UX strategy and development teams, this role could be a great transition from traditional design / development into a more dynamic R&D and UX focus.

As a key player in the innovation team, you will focus on the visual interface design and prototype build, but you will also take part in every aspect of product development from idea generation to validation of concepts with customers.

(Skills, knowledge, experience & education)
• A strong visual design portfolio
• An understanding of user experience constraints and experience working with user experience professionals.
• An ability to create working prototypes in HTML/CSS/Javascript
• Possess excellent written and verbal skills in order to work well with a fast-paced innovation team and to support in the documentation of our findings.
• Be highly motivated and self-directed, as well as not afraid of failure and willing to take calculated risks.

· 25 days holiday with a maximum of 28 days after 10 years’ service, and the ability to purchase extra holidays (up to a maximum of 28 days).

Despite being within the corporate sector, the office is very lively and sociable and has a games room with pool table. The company also encourages staff to assist with fund raising for charities and you will be given 3 days paid leave per year to work on charitable projects.

You must have a portfolio showcasing some of your digital design work (ideally with links) and a CV outlining your experience to date, please ensure you are outlining your development knowledge.

There will be a 2 stage interview process. The client will shortlist 1st round for either a face-to-face interview or telephone interview to confirm suitability (from either party if any uncertainty). This will be followed by a 2nd stage interview where you will meet the team, perhaps have a coffee with team member to get a better feel of the role & you will most probably need to undertake a small project task.
