Information Architect w/ Library Science Background!

Our Client is seeking a Sr. Information Architect to understand, and guide about the customer experience at the enterprise level through high-value, high-quality user experience design on enterprise-level projects. 
Essential Functions/Responsibilities: 

1. Digitally organizing information, whether it’s an online policies-and-procedures library, product information, or user-generated videos. Information architecture helps us organize that content in a way that makes it easy for users to hone in to the specific content they’re seeking. Skills include understanding methods for organizing information, such as taxonomies, folksonomies, facets, and ontologies; techniques for deriving user hierarchies, such as card sorting; and creating design deliverables, such as site maps. 

2. Plan, design, implementation and management of digital Search as a product with Information Architecture. Our taxonomist provides our digital users with an effective, efficient, intuitive, cross platform search experience. Skills include all of IA with a niched skill set of analysis of user needs, preferences, and objectives how they consume content including: Taxonomic models, ontologies, metadata implementation, tags, keywords, content strategy, and governance workshops. 


3. Lead or conduct the work done with internal audiences that include business subject matter experts, product teams, and design, development and content teams to ensure we are creating the best possible experience on all assigned work, with light supervision of UX leadership. 

4. Through collaborating on projects and deliverable creation with UX Architects, create deliverables and UX design patterns that move the organization toward a human-centered design approach for everything the creates, with a digital focus but expanding out to all types of experiences. 

5. Work within the UX team on its processes, standards and team development to further develop user experience as a core competency of digital teams across the organization.
