Information Architect

Our client needs a a skilled Information Architect for a short contract role, beginning ASAP. Our ideal candidate is a compulsive problem solver with demonstrated skill applying user-centered research and design methodologies to create remarkable product experiences. You are good at envisioning an experience and being able to materialize that vision into designs that evoke simplicity despite underlying system complexity. You are able to articulate the rationale behind your decisions, and then evaluate your designs with an open mind. On a daily basis you will:

• Creatively solve problems at all levels of detail: from the big picture to the nuts and bolts.
• Lead concept exploration exercises and moderate participatory design sessions.
• Create flow diagrams and wireframes to communicate UI design concepts.
• Build conceptual prototypes to explore interactive behaviors and front-end technological capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional project stakeholders to establish design directions that meet market requirements while balancing user needs with technical capabilities.
• Partner with Visual Designers to apply engaging visual styles to wireframes and conceptual prototypes.
• Conduct primary user research including interviews, surveys, and contextual field observations.
• Define role-based user personas and user activity/communication-flow models.
• Coordinate and execute usability evaluations with target users and distill findings into actionable results.
• Drive the development and communication of design guidelines, patterns, and libraries.
