Our client is the internal ad agency for a global enterprise software company. The agency is growing by the day and is currently recruiting Information Architects, Visual Designers, Project Manager, and Front End Developers. All of these roles are contract to hire and are due to a booming business.

Position- Information Architect
Location- Onsite in NYC M-F during normal business hours
Duration- Contract to hire, will convert to a perm position after 1-3 months
Hourly pay rate- DOE

We are currently seeking an Information Architect to design innovative web and mobile application solutions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Information Architect will help implement industry best practices and be a part of a team that shapes the usability and user experience of desktop and mobile products by participating in the entire design lifecycle from requirements analysis, concepting, wireframing, prototyping, developing guidelines and standards, and providing guidance on how best to implement his/her designs into functional web apps/forms. The Information Architect will also work closely with multiple development teams to provide best-in-class front end design, user interface innovations, and development support for proprietary mobile applications.

Lead the Discovery phase of each project to gather requirements from internal stakeholders and end-users and then present findings
Conduct comparative/competitive analyses, assess and incorporate industry best practices
Create and document site/application information and interaction designs, including rich internet application behaviors
Create site maps, wireframes, functional specifications and user flows
Collaborate with visual design, editorial, and other team members to implement design comps, prototypes, and front-end development
Partner with development teams to ensure technical feasibility and support implementation

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

5+ years experience as an information architect or related roles
Experience with transactional websites and software applications a plus but not required
Degree in a related field is a plus
Self-directed with highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Solid understanding of user research and user centered design
Hands-on design skills in wireframes, persona development and visual design
