Information Architect

Our client is looking for an Information Architect to work full-time, on-site. This is a year long contract opportunity. The IA is responsible for working with project teams to design and deliver high quality client-centered, effective, consistent and usable interfaces.

The UX Architect is the primary IA responsible for defining the customer experience within their assigned area of a Product Team across all digital views.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Helps to identify testing and research needs within area of responsibility.
- Understands business, technical and customer inputs to define new and/or changes to existing customer experiences.
- Creates appropriate IA deliverables to support the work effort including wireframes, user scenarios, page flows, competitive analysis, hueristic evaluations, journey maps, etc.
- Collaborates with Senior IAs, UX Managers and other product UX teams to ensure standard design practices are utilized and overall experiences are consistent.
- Presents designs and articulates approach to gather feedback and approval from all key approvers and stakeholders
- Works with development team in the implementation of UX solutions.
- Participates in user acceptance testing efforts.

Skills Overview:
Preferred Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years related experience

Skills and Competencies:
• Experience with both large and small scale online projects – full project lifecycle - Required
• Proven understanding of user-centered design techniques & demonstrated ability to incorporate UCD principles into the architecture and design of user interfaces
• Demonstrated ability in gathering and translating requirements from business sponsors, SMEs, users, and business analysts etc
• Experience applying usability testing techniques and principles
• Experience applying a web design standard
• Knowledge of web client technologies (browsers, HTML,CSS)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to articulate ideas effectively
• Proficiency in Axure – Preferred
• An understanding of accessibility design issues - Preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in project teams
• Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Strong detail orientation, and a passion for consistency
• Experience working within a large organization – Preferred
• Experience in online account security - Preferred
• Experience in online customer self-support– Preferred
• Experience working in a large organization – Preferred
• Experience with customer loyalty programs – Preferred
• Experience designing for multiple screens/views - Preferred
