Information Architect

AQUENT's major entertainment client is looking for an Information Architect to design core multi-touchpoint products.

Responsibilities:

• Employing a user-centered methodology to arrive at user experience solutions for online elearning suite of tools.

• Defining site functionality, navigation and interaction paradigms, site architecture schemes for ease of use and customer engagement.

• Developing sitemaps, flowcharts, annotated wireframes and functional specs to effectively communicate UI behavior and relationships to dev team and business.

• Identifying areas where user experience can differentiate the product.

• Expressing ideas and strategies for user experiences in visual and prototype forms for review by the product team.

• Helping manage the integration of functional, technical, aesthetic, emotional, human and environmental factors to provide an optimal user experience.

• Conducting usability analysis (interviews, contextual inquiry, etc.) and summarize results and recommendations.

• Collaborating with fellow team members to arrive at solutions and ensure the goals of functional design are maintained throughout development of product.

Experience with:

• dynamical content management data-base driven pages
• designing for educational software (for admins, teachers and students)
• federated search engines, personalization engines and community tools

Knowledge of:

• Standard-based learning and learning objects a plus
• Adept with relevant design and information flow software including such as Axure, Visio, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, HTML development.
• Bachelors degree in related field required, masters in HCI ideal.
• Experience with the Agile/Lean product development process a plus

Work Experience:

5+ years experience in one or more of the following areas: information design, interaction design, user interface design, or software application design.

Submission Requirement: Must show samples of implemented online work and problem solving, highlighting your specific role in the development of the application.
