Information & Documentation Architect

Somebody ought to write this stuff down, map it all out, grease the wheels between design and production with documents and instructions that lend clarity, simplicity, and objectivity to the project. That’s you!

You’ll be a central resource that defines and documents website, mobile site, and application IA and content requirements, functional requirements and technical specifications for use in handoff for the development of our digital projects.

Your job will entail:

  • Devising sitemaps, navigational flows and content requirements for our digital projects.
  • Refining or developing our company’s core IA, UX, requirements and specifications document templates and approach.
  • Specifying front-end requirements in site maps, documentation and with project teams.
  • Writing front-end specifications that describe how design comes to life in code in advance of production
  • Writing Content Management system specifications
  • Doing basic data modeling and mapping and working with our technical team as needed to validate.
  • Participating in QA and beta testing to ensure functionality meets the specifications
  • Becoming the written bridge between sales, design, development for helping to define projects and hand them off clearly between departments.


  • Your skills and experience will include:

  • Minimum 3-4 years experience in creating technical, business, IA and related documents in a fast-paced environment
  • A solid understanding of web development, software development, and related tools
  • A fastidious attention to detail and to getting instructions airtight
  • A friendly, collaborative, responsible “can do” ethic and demeanor
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a dynamic work environment.
