Industry Events Marketing Manager

Aquent's client is looking for a hyper-organized and marketing event lead to help with program management of key industry events. You will own the industry marketing team’s contributions [content, assets and speakers] with end-to-end strategy and executional linkages across workstreams to ensure effective execution.

This position will be the operational face of Industry Marketing team at a number of key industry events. This shall require close execution and partnership with client’s field marketing, and strategic events and experiences team. On behalf of Industry Marketing, the Industry Event Marketing Manager will collaborate extensively on content, messaging and asset approvals with product management, developer relations, product marketing, and comms teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of Industry Marketing goals at these events.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Drive event schedule and agenda with key stakeholders to ensure it aligns with the overarching industry product roadmaps, event messaging pillars, business priorities & executive vision
  • Work closely with speaker teams to ensure content and messaging is consistent and on-brand
  • Manage cross functional working groups and internal review and sign-offs including working group for compliance approvals

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Industry Marketing team representation across Industry events
  2. Ensure Industry Marketing strategy and contributions are delivered through partnership with field, brand, product and events team
  3. Contribute to and deliver on event strategy and vision while ensuring innovative event experience

Required Skills:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years enterprise event management experience
  • Proven and compelling Executive liaison, able to gain the trust and support from the senior most stakeholders
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • 5+ years of enterprise technology event experience in a high-growth and fast-paced environment
  • Extremely detail oriented and ability to handle ambiguity
  • Innovative and fresh thinking for event experiences for client to standout in the market
  • Ability to gracefully deal with senior executives at the highest level as well as orchestration of overall event program across the cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience in large-scale enterprise event track-building and execution
  • Exceptional project management skills and experience, including managing multiple internal stakeholders, external creative agencies, events vendors, and international projects
  • Independent, self-starter who can prioritize and drive deliverables to execution with minimal supervision
