Industrial Designer

A major consumer packaged goods company is looking for an Industrial Designer to assist in the creative execution of various types of In-Store Strategy- industrial design projects from concept to production. The Industrial Designer collaborates a part of a cross-functional, multidisciplinary team and engages in hands-on concepting, 3D visualization and prototyping to help deliver creative outcomes that provide exceptional consumer and patient experiences.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Generate structural design concepts and ideas based on project design briefs and cross functional team inputs and discussions
• Generate prototypes of design concepts and ideas based on project design briefs and cross functional team inputs and discussions
• Utilize knowledge of design and cultural trends to guide solutions
• Familiarity with basic manufacturing methods and materials
• Execute multiple projects with critical deadlines
• Research and conceptualize ideas in visual merchandising application and retail environment (category to complete store) including store interiors, fixtures, signage opportunities and promotion areas.

Qualifications:
• 0-3 years of Industrial Design related experience, POP Display Design and Merchandising design background
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Product Design
• Sketching abilities to communicate design intent
• Fluency in relevant 3D modeling software 3D Studio Max (Solid Works also helpful)
• Fluency in relevant 3D rendering software
• Proficiency in other relevant design software (i.e. Adobe Suite)
• Understanding of various prototyping methods and ability to create hands-on prototypes
• Demonstration of strong visual, written and oral communication skills to execute project briefs
• Up to 75-100% hands-on design work
