Mt client's Product Imaging builds the world’s best online shopping experience through photography, video, graphic design, and usability design enabling millions of customers to make more informed purchasing decisions. Imaging at this company is a large and fast-growing network of teams located throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, focusing on fashion and product photography, photo retouching, graphic design, video and CGI production, automated image acquisition, and image support services. They are continually innovating and setting new industry standards for showcasing 10s of millions of products across multiple global marketplaces. They are obsessed with innovating on behalf of their customers, and continually push beyond the boundaries of traditional e-commerce photography and videography.

They're looking for an experienced and accomplished Image Retoucher to be a part of imaging operations in a fast paced corporate environment. In this role the candidate will be part of the Digital Imaging team, which is responsible for operations supporting the post-production of high-quality imagery to deliver a best-in-class e-commerce customer experience.

Qualified candidates will be self-starters, strong communicators, detail-oriented and have a portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency across a range of post-production areas. The successful candidate will be a quick learner and be comfortable with change, as day to day responsibilities may shift to meet specific needs. Efficiency and innovation while working with high volume photographic workflows are essential strengths, as are advanced computer skills.

Basic Qualifications:

Follow standard operating procedures to edit product images, adhering to established high quality standards as well as meeting pre-defined productivity, quality and turnaround time targets.
Proactively escalate for delays and misses.
Drive high-volume work in one or more post-production processes including but not limited to: image retouch and workflow design
Catalog, name, crop, color manage, and, when necessary, spot retouch a high volume of image assets under tight deadlines
Flag any deviations from the organization's imaging standards as well as inconsistencies in the images being processed
Initiate and actively participate in process improvements that have impact on key operational metrics.
May be required to take up ad-hoc imaging requests, while complying with the organization's imaging standards
May execute special retouch projects, adhering to timely delivery and required quality and productivity standards
Contribute to the development, maintenance and ensure usage of relevant user friendly documentation


Preferred Qualifications:

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Expert in MS office primarily in MS Excel
Industry Experience in image editing/retouch.

This is a small team where people work both individually and as a group. It's an easy-going team with fun, happy people that look forward to working together every day. A new contractor should be quick a learner and be willing to jump right in, and be team oriented.

THE PROJECT:
Working to improve Vendor images

RESPONSIBILITIES/DELIVERABLES:
Editing images, tracking projects, file management, email communication

TYPICAL WORK DAY:
No overtime or remote work. Flexible start time but must be in by 9am. EOD is decided by start time. Two paid 15 minute breaks and one unpaid 30 minute lunch.
Work can be general production or project work. Work is done at sitting desks in the studio.
