IX Designer (Web)

The position is for an IX Designer having a rich portfolio of web (mobile is a

plus) work products. This role works in conjunction with the UX team and sets

the precedent for consistently raising the standards of our digital experiences.

This position requires a strong background in UX and IX design. The IX

Designer (Web) will need to manage a portfolio of initiatives. This role

requires excellent written and oral communication skills, and a highly

collaborative nature.



The ideal candidate has the ability to provide hands-on assistance to the team

in various areas according to his/her skill set and expertise, while also still

being able to help assist the team.



Portfolio presentation is expected for web, including URLs or samples that

reflect work.

Responsibilities:

 Delivers high quality work on time and within budget while developing

important skills such as collaboration, presentation, and strategy.

 Assists in the creation of site maps, concept diagrams, user personas,

user scenarios, wireframes, flows, site inventory, template guidelines

and annotated comps, etc.

 Leverages metrics, optimization, qualitative and quantitative research to

inform and validate design decisions

 Takes ideas from concept to reality by embracing requirements and

working with other members of the team to design what is possible

within the constraints of the project

 Thinks holistically about the entire brand and user experience, not just

projects or individual capabilities

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred

 3-5 years of experience in Interaction Design, Information Architecture

and User Experience positions working for significant brands in-house

or on the agency side.

 Proven success designing world-class, branded e-commerce and

transactional experiences

 Phenomenal ability to anticipate and design for user needs by

incorporating research, strategy and analytics

 Ability to complete interaction deliverables including rapid prototyping,

site maps, concept diagrams, user personas, user scenarios,

wireframes, flows, site inventory, template guidelines and annotated

comps

 Strong understanding of web and mobile (native) technologies preferred

 Awareness of multimedia platforms and devices

 Working experience with prototyping tools such as OmniGraffle, Visio,

Axure, Balsamiq, Fireworks, Sketch. InVision, Photoshop, Illustrator

 Experience in the travel/hospitality industry is a plus but is not essential

 Portfolio presentation is expected, including URLs or samples that

reflect work

 Experience with the agile development methodology and ability to work

in a fast-paced environment with aggressive development schedules
