IT Project Manager, PMO experience

Our client company, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, needs an experienced IT Project Manager to add to their team. The initial duration of this assignment is one year, with a probable extension. You would be a W2, hourly employee of Aquent during this time. We do have health and dental benefits from which you may choose.

General Description: Manage all the day-to-day activities of a project. Creates staffing plan and manages staff, both internal and external. Coordinate interfaces between the project teams if multiple teams are involved. Responsible for producing project management deliverables. Monitor and communicate project costs and schedule. Control project scope and facilitate change management process. Lead and mentor staff in project management techniques. A senior level person is the most experienced, with the widest range of experience in various size and types of projects that are relevant to the role. Typically 5 to 8 or more years in the role would be expected.

- Excellent communication skills (feels comfortable leading situations of varying complexities).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and collaborate within the project and across inter-related initiatives.
- Ability to relate well with all levels of the organization and to be able to lead complex discussions.
- High level of decision making and problem solving capabilities.
- Ability to deal with very high levels of ambiguity.
- Strong and independent project management skills, ability to prioritize on the most critical tasks at hand.
- Ability to realize the big picture and provide a broad perspective to project managers in the team.

- PMO experience
- Consistency in program level processes, scope, schedule and budget management for a group of initiatives.
- Gathering and analyzing information and finally providing options and recommendation.
