IT Communications/Change Management

This senior-level position will provide communications, training, and organizational change management (OCM) support to an enterprise-level project that is focused on improving IT efficiencies by enabling data quality and process improvement, application rationalization, and increased information access across critical IT service areas. The delivered solution will provide a holistic view of entire application and technology inventory, provide a single source of record for that information, and better enable management to accurately assess and respond to the state of our technology stack from a risk and cost perspective. This is a high-visibility project that requires a combination of technical skills and business savvy to successfully maneuver within and across a diverse IT landscape.

Minimum number of years of experience required: 6

Top 3 - 5 Daily responsibilities:
Work with key stakeholders to create and execute a communication strategy and plan. Drive all aspects of project/program communications (e.g., training, newsletters, stakeholder materials, go-live communications, materials for workshops and brown bag sessions, and content for communications sites). Be fully engaged in project to successfully craft communication deliverables based on project/program goals, priorities and limitations.

Written and verbal communication, results-oriented, facilitation and interviewing

Desired skills: Understanding of basic IT concepts, ability to think strategically, ability to understand concepts quickly and develop project communications and targeted messaging. Ability to develop stakeholder assessments and recommendations on communication vehicles for key messages.

Responsibilities:
• Communications
o Plan, develop, and deliver clear communications about the project/solution objectives, capabilities, and impacts to a wide range of stakeholders. Work with a variety of personnel to achieve consensus, develop communication plans, tailor messages for specific audiences and ensure consistency of messages.
o Develop and execute communication plan, including audiences, key messages, timing, delivery method, frequency, and sender. Accomplish this by drafting and sending project communications via email, presentations, web postings, etc., and partnering with the IT Communications department on news articles or other necessary enterprise-wide communication efforts.
• Training
o Provide curriculum development and technical training. Work with management and project lead to determine project training and communication goals.
o Perform a training needs assessment and document training requirements.
o Develop and execute training plan. Accomplish this by writing course materials (e.g., job aids, user guides, quick reference guides, etc.), delivering in-person or virtual training sessions (e.g., brown bags, formal instructor-led training sessions, etc.), and consulting with the appropriate team(s) and leading the effort to develop and deploy any necessary web-based training modules.
o Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of new skills and techniques into employees’ behavior.
