Hybrid UX/Interaction Designer

Our Fortune 1000 client is an international travel site that helps customers find the best deals on airfare, hotels, car rentals and more. They are life loving travel geeks! Currently making significant upgrades to brand and product; this is your chance to make your mark and bring the power of world-class design to a brand enjoyed by millions of travelers!

You’ll be part of the User Experience team, working in Agile methodologies. The UED team is within the Product Management group, a growing team of UX and design evangelists, artists, travelers and all-around fun and friendly people.

Core Responsibilities:
· Design great user experiences and/or interfaces for websites and related products.
. Proactively lead medium-size projects and other initiatives, set deliverables and deadlines, and help to drive projects to completion.
. Lead brainstorming activities, as needed. . Define, categorize, and organize content. . Create multiple solutions to a single design problem and iterate to a few alternate designs.
. Create specification as needed, including site maps, flow diagrams, state transition diagrams, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. . Prepare and share project and/or design presentations
· Translate consumer needs, business requirements, brand standards, and interaction design into visual user experiences that are engaging, simple, intuitive and converting
· Convey design ideas in tangible forms like concepts, prototypes, annotated comps and cut assets
· Work closely with the Visual Design Manager as well as other UX team members to execute on group and site strategy and vision

Qualifications:

An understanding of UX and interaction within the constraints of mobile devices Experience designing for e-commerce sites or apps; ability to design around dynamic content and an understanding of how to convert visitors into customers Strong creative and visual skills; an ability to explain your thinking; strong interpersonal skills; an ability to work independently and with a group Experience using analytics, user testing and other approaches to help make decisions and iterate on the product Skilled in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. Expert skill in UI Visual web design techniques and production practices Minimum of 4 years participating in the complete lifecycle of multiple successfully delivered web, mobile and/or software applications A love of travel, and helping travelers find the best deals!
