POSITION: Hybrid UX Designer – US e-commerce (Temporary)

Experienced hybrid UX designer with strong visual design background to join the User Experience (UX) team. In the role, you’ll work closely with the e-commerce product team to design and set the vision for the next generation of responsive web experiences.

Major Responsibilities:

• Envision and develop intuitive, scalable, and engaging interactions and visual designs for multiple platforms (web and mobile)
• Initiate and respond to ideas for innovation/improvements based on research, analysis, and competitive reviews
• Provide strategic thinking and leadership
• Lead vision, design and build the future user experiences for our new responsive design user experience
• Identify user needs and business requirements
• Work closely with user experience researcher to develop user research and usability tests
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams as well as the greater UX team throughout the design process
• Collaborate harmoniously with multiple stakeholders to synthesize and incorporate feedback appropriately with equanimity and a user-centered focus
• Collaborate with front-end developers to create prototypes
• Procure buy-in with stakeholders early and often
• Conduct competitive audits and research to stay ahead of competition
• During implementation phase respond to day-to-day questions from developers, product managers & project managers. Also work with QA to identify, document, and verify bug fixes

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 5+ years experience as an interaction designer and 2+ years as a visual designer.
• Expert level skills in Adobe Creative Suite and any other associated design tools
• Expert skills in graphic design, with an eye for typography, palette development, intuitive layout, and a pixel-level attention to detail
• Ability to sketch or quickly create mock-ups to communicate design ideas
• Experience in lean UX and agile methodology and working closely with the immediate scrum team on a day-to-day basis
• Experience in responsive design
• Well-rounded understanding of online usability best practices
• Excellent understanding of user experience design for the web, technology trends, demonstrable design skills, and ability to show relevant work
• Experience with Native app design for iPhone, Android and/or mobile web
• Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in small and large groups and defend your design decisions
• Must be a self starter that can create schedules and define scope of work even when there are no clear requirements and direction
• A background in e-commerce or application design
• A team player who can easily adapt in a rapidly changing environment
• Passion for events, fans, and the fan experience – tell us what you’re a fan of!
• Agency or start-up experience a big plus
• Sense of humor a big plus

Education:

• Bachelors or higher degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design or related field.
