Position Overview
Video is a key marketing communication tools crucial in promoting our products and services both internally and externally to support marketing campaigns, essentially bringing to life to the Brand.

This role is within an in-house global creative services team, part of the Global Brand Marketing department of this multi-national corporate firm. Based in London, you’ll be part of an immediate team of 6 video specialists, working across a range of productions/projects for internal clients from different business areas and geographies. As a talented motion designer and editor it will be your responsibility to both concept and deliver multi-media video communications suitable for broadcast. As a talented motion designer and editor it will be your responsibility to both concept and deliver multi-media video communications suitable for broadcast. You’ll deliver both internal & externally focused marketing and business video communications.

In partnership with Creative Leads/Directors/Project Managers and Producers you will be helping ensure our video productions are delivered to an excellent standard, on time, on brand and on budget. 

It is crucial for us that you have a keen design eye a strong animation skill set and thirst for film making. Most projects are predominantly self art directed from the ground-up so you must be able to self manage, work independently and/or within a team. Importantly, you should be able to demonstrate a strong graphic design background as well as a good sense of how to animate in 2D. Your skills should reflect this by being extremely proficient in After Effects, illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere. 

You will be expected to shoot (as a camera op, not alone) and edit a wide range of internal and external communications ranging from corporate messages to interviews and events, from demos to live action, broadcast standard promotional pieces. 



Essential day to day responsibilities
In this Hybrid role you'll be tasked with taking briefs and originating concepts for our multiple delivery channels, including online, mobile, OOH large format screens, live events and broadcast. 

You'll work closely with the London Creative Manager/Production Manager & Video Producer to achieve excellence in the delivery of our work to support the company’s core communication programmes, campaigns & initiatives at many levels and across different business areas including Finance & Risk, Legal, Tax & Accounting and Reuters News as well as supporting our Corporate & Brand groups. 

• Develop concepts for a wide variety of internal and external projects ranging from product promos, to demos to live action, broadcast & campaign pieces 
• Work with the account and wider creative teams to understand project scope and objectives 
• Lead in the concept phase of motion projects – originating, developing and presenting ideas both internally and to clients 
• Prepare design, plan, concept and layout for motion graphic project 
• Design and create storyboards 
• Design and create enticing motion graphics for video deliverables 
• Assist in selecting audio, video, colours, animation, etc for graphic design 
• Work with editors, producers and other designers to resolve technical and/or design issues 
• Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics 
• Play active role in the review/feedback process 
• Deliver strong narratives through sharp and clear edits 
• Participate in brainstorming session to share new design perspectives and ideas 
• Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming convention and organization of graphic files 
• Ensure compliance with brand guidelines, deadlines and design standards. 
• Continuously research, discover, experiment with and implement new design & animation styles, techniques & technologies to maximise the efficiency of our workflow and elevate the quality of our work 




Essential Skills 


• 2 years+ experience of motion/graphics design 
• A proven track record of excellence in animation – demonstrated through a strong portfolio 
• Very proficient in Premier and demonstrate strong edit capability 
• Creative flair/energy/mind – proven creative story-telling skills 
• Experience with digital technology and animation software (specifically, Adobe CC suite of products, specifically Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop skills ideal) 
• Experience with digital workflow including the compression and delivery of projects in a digital medium 
• Passionate about Design and film 
• Ability to work independently and/or develop ideas within a team of directors, producers, production specialists and animators 
• Good communication & presentation skills 
• Collaborative demeanour for working with external suppliers and people across departments and at all levels. 
• Ability to work to tight deadlines across multiple projects with excellent organisational skills 
• Attention to detail 
• Degree in film studies, cinematography or related field
