Help Desk, Level 1, Call Center

Do you have 2-3 years of Help Desk experience in a call center? Are you okay with being “chained to your desk doing phone work?” Do you have the technical knowledge to trouble shoot Microsoft issues? Do you want to work for a company with a long, respected history in Milwaukee, Wisconsin? If so, please keep reading!

Our client company, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is looking to add a Level 1, Help Desk person to their team. This is an on-going assignment. You would be a W2, hourly employee of Aquent during this time. We do have health and dental benefits from which you may choose.


Here is what you will do:
You will be handling 30-50 service calls in a call-center. You will have to be comfortable in a metrics-driven environment.


Here is what you need to have:
• Knowledge of multiple computing platforms, operating systems, hardware, software, networking and the integration of these components.
• Experience in providing support for mobile devices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced business professional environment.
• Ability to quickly identify and analyze technical issues.
• Excellent customer service skills, preferably demonstrated within prior call center or Help Desk experience.
• Ability to work independently using sound time management skills.
• Strong communication skills including interpersonal, written, and oral for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Flexibility; the ability to be responsive to changing business needs and technical requirements.
• Ability to work with sensitive data while maintaining confidentiality and following security guidelines.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships and to work cohesively in a team environment.
• Effective degree of self-motivation, reliability, and initiative.

Preferred Skills:
• PC hardware knowledge; strong diagnostic skills in software – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook), Windows 7.
• Strong follow-up skills.
• Completion of technical training in computer systems and support is desirable. (MCP, MCSE, A+ Certified).
