Primary Responsibilities

• Create dynamic and responsive email layouts (and a variety of electronic media as needed)
• Ensure email messaging is 100% accessible and optimized for deliverability across all email clients on both web and mobile messaging systems
• Optimize images for web user interface and create layouts that complement our web presence
• Develop strategies to improve the design of emails and troubleshoot issues
• Design and maintain client email marketing campaigns, including implementation of A/B tests, conditional content and delivery optimization
• Research and develop new innovations in email design

Requirements
• 2-4 years of experience in email marketing and development
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud software applications, i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc., and other online production techniques
• The ability to convert Photoshop and Sketch files into full functioning, responsive HTML Templates
• Expert in HTML (hand coding) and inline CSS including, but not limited to, text overlays, bulletproof buttons, and more that renders correctly across email clients, devices and browsers.
• Experience with email testing software (render testing), working with email deployment platforms and troubleshooting creative and deployment issues
• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Computer Science, Marketing or related field, or relevant experience strongly preferred

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who…

• Has demonstrable experience as a web designer, web developer, or similar role
• Has experience building scalable, rich, usable web interactions
• Has a strong background in UX/UI, wire framing and interaction models, as well as multimedia production such as video and animation
• Has experience and passion for modern web development technologies, methodologies, and techniques: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, in-depth experience with CSS preprocessors, experience customizing a CSS framework (eg. Bootstrap)
• Has experience with responsive design
• Has advanced/expert knowledge of Adobe creative web production software and MS Office
• Offers strong analysis and excellent problem solving skills to solve work around solutions in a highly restrictive development environment
• Loves constantly learning, improving, and tirelessly trying out the latest technologies, frameworks, and tools
• Has the ability to share/present and work productively and efficiently with designers and business stakeholders

What will truly make you successful in this role…
• Loves code, but obsess over users
• Have experience working with Agile or SCRUM development
• Know NPM for dependency management
• Be familiar with Gulp for front-end build process
• Experience with ExactTarget (MarketingCloud) is definitely a bonus, but not necessary. Have experience working with a CMS (e.g. WordPress, Drupal).
