HR Consultant III/Project Manager

Our client, Leader in Virtualization Software and Services, has an immediate need for an HR Consultant with Project/Program Management experience for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Palo Alto!


As a member of the Global Business Enablement HR team, this person is responsible for program management and communications for a variety of human resources programs, which could include organizational development, compensation, performance management, HR web or training through partnership with functional HR program owners.
• Partner with COEs to prepare and implement people programs globally. Gather program requirements and supports all phases of projects from inception through completion. Act as primary contact for program readiness, leading sessions with stakeholders to design, plan, execute and manage change.
• Establish milestones and monitor adherence to plans and schedules, identify project problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing specifications. Ensure quality and that projects are completed on time.
• Create and deliver employee communications, training and web collateral related to HR Programs. Prepares program/project documentation such as presentations, status reports, roadmap decks, process and procedures.
• Create and distribute multi-level communication and status reports (core team, extended team, executive team). Utilize web-resources (sharepoint etc.) to help with collection of programs, content and historical records.
• Partner and create alignment with extended HR organization to develop and deliver the HR annual calendar and HR Programs within the business organizations
• Collaborate with multiple teams and business partner groups for the adoption of HR Programs
• Own all logistics for presentations and events including reserving the venue, training room, and setup. Schedules presenters and/or facilitators for training events. Monitors activities during program delivery.
• Track and communicate progress for HR goals and priorities for organization supported during HR programs
• Complete post-program reviews, provide feedback and required needs for future program roll-outs and initiatives sponsored by the PMO and expertise centers
• Partner with SMEs and business analysts on reports, metrics and other information

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:
• Outstanding organization, communication, and interpersonal skills conducive to collaboration.
• Demonstrate expertise in change management, program management, organizational development, and communication.
• Experience carrying an operations workload, managing multiple activities with multiple deadlines.
• Works well in a cross-functional, global, virtual environment that is fast-paced, constantly changing, and sometimes ambiguous.
• Detail-oriented self-starter who can work independently to get things done. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong project coordinator skills - manage meetings, prepare and/or edit meeting minutes and deliverables, meeting agendas, knowledge link folders, maintenance calendar, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Prior experience working in a similar HR Program Manager or Communications role
• 7 years + experience in HR and/or extensive project/program management experience
• Experience building strong working relationships across all levels of a Human Resources organization
• Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with HR systems such as Workday, Oracle HCM, Peoplefluent a plus
• Proficient with MS Office, Sharepoint (a plus), and web-based applications
• Excellent English written grammar, with ability to write in English for a global audience
• Acute attention to detail
