HP Service Manager (HPSM) Developer, Jython

Our client company, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is looking for an HP Service Manager (HPSM) to add to their team. This is an on-going contract assignment with no set end date. You would be a W2, hourly employee of Aquent during this time. We do have health and dental benefits from which you may choose.

Here is what you will do:
As part of Service Transition Service management process and tools team, you will be involved very closely with finding ways to improve the Service Management process to make it better.

You will be involved in enhancements to HP Service Manager, PBRS (Production Batch Request System) and Autoticketing applications. You will be expected to do Blue Printing and to produce detailed design deliverables which includes use cases, class diagrams and sequence diagrams for development.

You will work on HP uCMDB (Univeral Configuration Management Database) and Discovery and Dependency Mapping (DDM) - formerly MAM. Will develop primarily in Jython to “discover” new (UNIX & WINDOWS) technologies and load into tracking systems. Will work to enhance (design and develop) layer2 coverage for host resources, network resources, and deep discovery across multiple subsystems using NNMi (Network Node Manager) integration.

Will be involved in project work for Auto-discovery (agent-based, agent-less, and passive methods), CI/relationship modeling for new CMDB structure, and designed data source integrations with HP Service Manager using Web Services (WSDL,XML) to federate data into CMDB which can be used for tracking CI's as part of Incident, Problem & Change Management.

Will be responsible for building integration between HPSM Change Management and various software promotional tools i.e. (Aplus, Tivoli, Changeman ZMF) using MQ Queues, MQ Broker & HP ConnectIt.
