Graphic Designer/Production Artist hybrid role

Aquent's client is a large media company looking to provide hands-on graphic design development and implementation for all the company's print media, including continuity of print projects as they develop into interactive and/or on-air endeavors; and to be responsible for accommodating the day- to-day workflow, scheduling and operations of print/graphics production of Creative Services. Must have a four-year degree with a major in Graphic Design. Temp to perm role in Marketing department. Opportunities for growth. Ideal for candidates with 3-5+ years of experience. Executional type of role.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
1. Manage company brand guidelines and usage among all brand specialists and field personnel
2. Accommodate day-to-day workflow of all print/graphics production and manage multiple projects & priorities in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
3. Adhere to all project deadlines and set realistic deadlines for all workflow
4. Possess a diverse print portfolio demonstrating ability to work with Microsoft Office sales materials (Power Point presentations & Word proposals), print ads, and product brochures
5. Design and implement collateral/promotion/presentation/template materials for all departments as needed
6. Upkeep and maintenance of corporate SalesSource site, specifically all brand related initiatives and network logo sections
7. Design and support on-air and interactive projects (logos, materials, etc)
8. Protect company brands from copyright infringements, as well as, protect company trademarks
9. Proofreading/approval routing of all print/graphics projects
10. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors
11. Help maintain and upkeep repair and maintenance records on all print/graphics equipment
12. Assist with the administrative month-end reports, project coding and scheduling
13. Cost comparisons, bidding, and negotiations for all print production endeavors
14. Research and make recommendations for capital budget preparation and presentation
15. Develop and maintain department resources and art library

SOFTWARE KNOWLDEGE: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel. A plus to have experience in Adobe After Effects, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Director


SKILLS:
Understanding of MAC and Windows NT platforms
Project management experience
Full knowledge of pre-press file management
