Graphic Designer (mid-level)

Startup company in tech/health space is looking for a mid-level graphic designer on a temp-to-perm basis. Company currently works 4x10 schedule (4 10-hour days). 

Interview process would include phone screen + 1 week (paid) working interview...and then conversion to permanent for the right person. 

Team: 4 people currently, including CEO. Culture fit is paramount.

Responsibilities: The designer will help implement designs across multiple media and is responsible for the visual and tangible execution of designs destined for the web, social media and more. The designer will be given concepts and then be responsible for production of the design, layout, and final production of projects.

  • Exercise creativity and FAST learning to contribute to a culture of curiosity, iteration and execution

  • Demonstrate an understanding of design, composition and typography  

  • Collaborate with the team to present, create and execute ideas that may change weekly

  • Produce content in a variety of styles and techniques  

  • Review, proof and edit content with a critical eye

  • Iterative design with hands on help from team. NOT 'work for a week and say "ta-da" here it is'… work together.

Requirements:  

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in graphic/web design

  • Must be a Mac user

  • Experience with Sketch, Adobe CC, Keyshot (optional or willing to learn) and other modern design tools.

  • Copy writing or ad design experience are also a plus

  • Self-motivated, takes personal responsibility for getting things done in a way that is positive and straightforward way

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
