Graphic Designer (long term contract)

About This Role:
To that end, this Corporate Marketing Department seeks a super-talented individual with an elevated sense of design, color, and typography who has built a strong visual portfolio across multiple mediums. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Marketing, and will be responsible for the design and execution of integrated marketing materials across multiple media. This is a one year contract assignment, onsite, NYC (financial district), 40 hours a week.

Working as a fully integrated member of the marketing team, you will be involved in the design and production of fully integrated visual communications for internal and external audiences in support of brand identity collaborating with various constituencies (product, sales, executive committee and clients) to visually convey messages and ensure all designs follow the brand and graphic identity standards.

What You Will Do:
• Maintain the visual integrity of the company brand portfolio. Partner with other creatives to ensure best graphic solutions, work within brand guidelines to develop high-quality results.
• Develop a wide variety of integrated marketing materials such as brochures, emails, web components, white papers, PPTS, charts and diagrams.
• Present design ideas and mock-ups to clients together with the Market team.
• Manage outside vendors and creative resources
• Maintain digital design assets/libraries and internal filing systems.
• Ensure design projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Prepare sketches and/or layouts; select elements for the design such as, colors, artwork, photography, animation, style of type; select the appropriate materials for the final product.
• Complete print production assignments, create digital files, preflight files, and update creative design and marketing specifications.

What You Need To Bring To The Table:
• Portfolio Required = super clean and uncluttered
• 4 year degree in graphic design, 2-3 years’ experience
• The role requires excellent graphic design skills, solid production knowledge and the ability to translate complex business solutions into engaging easy to comprehend design.
• Outstanding attention to detail and a proven track record of successful project management
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (PPT a MUST)
• Excellent work ethic with a can-do attitude; ability to work in a team environment within a fast-paced, deadline driven environment; able to quickly and efficiently adapt design across multiple media formats
• Manage competing projects and shifting priorities to meet deadlines, all with a professional demeanor and positive attitude
• Analyze, assess and respond to the visual design needs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to receive and deliver constructive critique
