Graphic Designer (Web and Print)

Our Fortune 500 Financial client needs a talented, versatile Graphic Designer (web & print) to be a part of our small-but-mighty in-house Creative Team. We’re part of a tight-knit group, so you’ll need a good sense of humor, a strong work ethic, thick skin and, oh yeah, a book that shows only your best work.

The designer will work directly with brand managers & strategists to develop communications for several lines of business. Potential candidates must have a skilled understanding of visual design and digital HTML/CSS development. The candidate should also be proficient in Adobe Flash and be able to develop and QA animated banners. In addition, this designer should have quality communication skills and be able to manage their own workload to achieve tight deadlines in a fast paced environment. Candidate must be a student of digital who likes emerging channels and thinks web & mobile first. The client is a digital bank and their marketing strategy and attitude falls right in line with that.

You will get a chance to work with many other creative people from all over – other designers, writers and art directors, too – on diverse, high-volume projects. Across all kinds of media channels.


Essential Functions:
• Concept for Customer, Prospect & Associate facing digital creative including, but not limited to:
o Landing Pages
o HTML E-mails
o Flash Banners
• Develop Customer and Associate facing print creative including, but not limited to:
o Logos
o Direct Mail
o Advertisements
o Posters
• Work closely with brand experts and strategists to coordinate and complete projects
• Become an expert of the Client brand and be able to review and QA creative developed by external agencies to ensure brand quality and consistency.

2 to 5 years of design experience (preferably on the Agency or In-House Agency side).
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
• Experience in coding and QA’ing web pages
• Experience in utilizing a strong brand identity to drive direct response
• Work well under pressure; effectively handle tight deadlines, unexpected delays, revisions, ad hoc requests and changing priorities
• Ability to multitask, conceptualize, create and work directly with other employees
• Strong creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret and translate analytic thinking into creative concepts
• A strong portfolio with a range of print and digital work
• A web portfolio is a must


Technical skills and abilities:
• Able to code e-mails and web pages utilizing HTML and CSS
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver & Flash) in a Windows environment
• Expert in Adobe Acrobat Professional
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows Business Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge of html e-mail best practices
• Working knowledge web best practices and SEO

Working Conditions:
• Occasional business travel is required
• Work flexibility as business needs require
• High-pressure work environment to meet deadlines and deliver results
