Lead UI/Graphic Designer uses visual design methodologies to deliver high-quality, engaging and on-brand interactive experiences for our website and marketing campaign initiatives. Being part of the Creative Web Design (i.e., Creative Services) department, this passionate designer will be key in creating the vision for our visual style (e.g., tone, typography, and more), collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization to create assets based on our user-centered design methodology.
Participate in creative/marketing brief processes and/or planning meetings with various teams throughout the organization.
Conceptualize multiple options against business objectives / marketing briefs.
Develop style guides and specifications for all aspects of design.
Work with peers to define problems and opportunities.
Leading preparation of requirements and specifications of projects.
Maintain brand integrity throughout projects and reviewing of work by others.
Mentor our current graphic design team members.
Reviews digital assets to provide constructive feedback.
Taking on daily requests from teams across the organization.
What it takes to be part of the team:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate hands-on designer who is meticulously organized, performance driven and who can own a project from beginning to end. This position requires a person who is skilled in working with various teams such as Marketing/Development and has managed or lead a small design team. You must feel confident in communicating with others, be self-motivated, have worked in a collaborative team environment, and also possess the following qualities:
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a design lead/management role.
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as an Interactive Visual Designer / Web Graphic Designer or equivalent.
Strategic thinker, able to design and coordinate member growth and leading campaigns for a broad range of digital mediums.
Expert knowledge and experience with Adobe CC suite.
Experienced in developing assets for pre-press, printing and other digital technologies.
Deep understanding of process standardization and optimization for creative design.
Possess thorough understanding of emerging trends, standards and best practices in digital design.
Must be detail oriented with strong organization skills and ability to work efficiently and effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (e.g., Graphic Design) or comparable work experience.
