The Social Media Designer is capable and excited to develop creative work for the changing needs of the brand within social media. The ideal candidate must stay up to speed with the newest innovations and trends within social space and understand the role of engaging creative for the online customer. This candidate must possess knowledge of social media marketing as it relates to design and copy and understand creative best practices; particularly within the Facebook platform. He/she must be able to translate business goals and help bring them to life through content campaigns; selling his/her ideas cross-functionally through our organization. This position requires proficiency creating visuals and copy for social media campaigns.
The Social Media Designer is a member of the digital creative team and should have demonstrated experience in graphic design disciplines, layout, color, typography and be able to successfully use this knowledge to create compelling creative for social media. They must be self-motivated, self-managed and have excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
This position requires innovative thinking, knowledge of the business needs, ability to partner with cross-functional teams, and the ability to communicate and influence design decisions through the direction of creative team members and business partners.
This candidate must possess speed and energy to fit in a fast paced environment that is reactive to business needs. The Social Media Designer will be responsible for ensuring that creative projects meet their business objectives, deliverable dates, that creative is on-brand, style guidelines (design and copy) are adhered to and overall creative quality is met. The ability to work collaboratively with enthusiasm and teamwork is important. This role will need to partner closely with various business units, the social team and digital creative team to ideate and solve day-to-day creative business needs. They will also be responsible for maintaining an excellent working relationship with the creative director, account services and business partners.

REQUIRED SKILLS: In order of importance, list specific skills or talents, which a qualified incumbent should possess (i.e. computer literacy, subject knowledge, etc.) Understanding and experience in creative disciplines including concepting, layout, color, typography, copywriting
Understanding of social media and experience in designing for multiple social channels
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – can clearly communicate design decisions and conceptual themes
Excellent team player – ability to work with cross-functional teams
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Ability to multi task & respond quickly and positively to changing demands
