Graphic Designer (Print Production)

Our client is looking for a versatile graphic designer that exhibits superb problem solving design production skills to tackle the day-to-day assignments of a high volume department. This person must be driven and able to thrive on the challenges and pressures of a fast-paced environment. 


You will be responsible for the accuracy, quality, and development of final production files for print and digital. The designer must be able to effectively manage multiple active projects to meet tight deadlines and be able to implement revisions quickly and accurately. Must be able to take direction well and double check work adhering to production quality control standards. 

Summary of Key Responsibilities: 
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 
• Efficiently execute a high volume of sales collateral projects from start to finish in a fast-paced environment 
• Strong printing/prepress skills with the ability to create and review file image quality, color space accuracy and proper mechanical set up prior to releasing for final printing 
• Previous experience with client presentations, print ads, collateral systems (sell sheets, brochures, white papers), event signage, OOH, premiums, story boards, publishing, extensive typesetting, event signage 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
• Forward-thinking approach that raises concerns and proposes solutions when taking on assignments 
• Work in line with campaign style guides across different formats while preserving creative continuity 
• Accurately make client and proofreader editorial revisions from annotated PDFs; raise concerns when need 
• Maintain and follow consistent server organization and file naming conventions of existing structure and process 
• Work on both PC and Mac platforms; design will be on the Mac 


Summary of Experience: 
Design experience with a design firm, advertising agency, marketing/creative services or financial organization (5+ years) 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
• Expert knowledge of print production and digital prepress processes 
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Keynote (interactive a plus) 
• Extensive knowledge of quality typography, imagery selection/manipulation, and fundamental design layout skills 
• Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines within a short time frame 
• Ability to work independently and in partnership with off-site teams 
• Ability to review own work for quality control against client’s request and pass through proper channels for quality control 
• Ability to receive and implement art direction through layout revisions 
• Managing your own project schedules and job ownership 
• Keeps current with production and design trends 
• BFA/BS degree required, preferably an art/design degree with a focus in marketing, graphic design, visual, fine or commercial arts, or related field
