Graphic Designer [Men's, Kid's. Home, Outlets]

As a Graphic Designer, you will work closely with the Art Director to develop original and exciting design solutions for print advertising. You will have access to beautiful, high-end photography to create compelling designs that separate us from our competition. We are a fast-paced environment and need someone with the ability to generate many different ideas while juggling several print projects at one time.

Essential Functions:
Attend all turn-in meetings and create shoot charts in partnership with Art Directors and Production manager.
Design and production of layouts for catalogs and print advertising
Follow up to ensure all work is trafficked according to schedule, adjusting design through art, copy and senior management revisions
Work on minor retouching on FPO images for presentations.
Efficiently create and maintain design files from beginning to end of each project with a keen attention to production of files
Develop and maintain imaginative layouts and type design for each season or store promotion in conjunction with Art Directors
Ensure creative vision is achieved throughout each project while maintaining brand image with attention to content hierarchy, message to the customer
Stay abreast of the new trends and technologies in the design and fashion industry
When necessary, represent the Art Directors in meetings with upper management
Function as liaison between merchants, copywriters, and pre-press production teams in resolving issues and driving creative process.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
• BFA in Graphic Design
• Must have fashion and luxury brand knowledge.

Communication Skills:
• Ability to create and communicate a variety of design systems in early stages of concepting

Reasoning Ability:
• Excellent attention to detail

Other Skills:
• Understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment
• VERY proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Bridge and production processes
• Strong typography skills and understanding of copy message and hierarchy.
• Ability to work well under pressure, handle tight deadlines and make speedy revisions
• Strong sense of passion and willingness to research/evolve projects from season to season
• Ability to adapt to change with a positive can do attitude.
