Graphic Designer IV (Animator)

Role Description 
Our client is looking for an energetic, customer obsessed, and creative Animator to work with producers and other team members to assemble and animate assets into a fun and engaging media deliverable. A good animator will bring their own creativity and personality to a project but stay within the lines of what a customer needs. Animators work together as a team with visual designers through each stage of production to conceptualize and produce fun and educational 2D and 3D animations that help to explain key processes, concepts and policies across the company.

Responsibilities Include:
Manage and maintain prompt, thorough, professional communication with all team members, customers, and business partners throughout all phases of a project to ensure milestones are established and met. 
Manage several animation assignments concurrently and report on their progress weekly. 
Adhere to naming conventions and follow procedure when interacting with project data in a shared storage environment.
Be open to sharing ideas, concepts, and best practices with a team of animators, designers, editors and creatives. 
Offer and receive criticism and critique equally well to help constantly raise our team’s quality bar. 

Pre-production:
Provide creative guidance for many different teams with many different business needs across the company.
Read, understand, contribute to, and adhere to the creation of project timelines, creative treatments, and other documents that detail a projects’ scope and direction. 
Work with producers to make creative decisions about a project’s style and direction. 
Work with visual designers to conceptualize and create assets to be animated.
Create storyboard and animatic.

Production:
Maintain contact with producer and animation team to ensure deadlines are established and met.
Assemble assets into an animation.
Work with audio team to create sound design.
Complete revisions in a timely manner. 
Deliver final project to producer on schedule.
Provide key data to management about project.
Clearly communicate about any blockers you encounter that will impact the project timeline.
