Graphic Designer II - In Store Promotions

The Graphic Designer is responsible for design of all in-store graphics, point-of-sale signing and graphics relating to branding, merchandising strategies, promotions, template production, file releasing and fixture needs for enterprise initiatives.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
Responsibilities:

• Develops layouts for all signing aspects of corporate marketing and business unit(s) sales collateral, POP, POS, promotions and miscellaneous creative projects.

• Works collaboratively with both Art Director and Creative Director to communicate marketing objectives and determine effective messaging, content and layout design.

• Translates concepts and ideas into visual communications that can replace or enhance narrative documentation.

• Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, utilizes brand standards for styles and fonts, and arranges layouts based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.

• Coordinates the release and processing of files at prepress. Ensures accuracy of file set-up and specs for all out going work. Approves proofs for accuracy.

• Assists at times in product photo shoots when applicable.

• Manages external agency partners and timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met.

• Demonstrates initiative and innovation appropriate to the assignment and timeframe. Maintains compliance with prevailing corporate identity standards.

Requirements:

• Possesses advanced skills in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Knowledge of traditional and digital printing processes and strong typography skills.

• Ability to plan, organize, identify problems and correct design issues under tight deadlines.

• Must be flexible to work and creatively multi-task within a fast-paced, hectic environment where priorities are constantly changing.
• Must be able to adapt to work schedule to fit business needs.
• 5-10 years of graphic design and production to press experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Demonstrated experience with the application of graphic design principles, procedures and software, as well as command of the English language and grammar.
