Graphic Designer

Will be responsible for the graphics on product packaging from concept to production for assigned licensed brands.
Will work closely with internal mktg/design/engineering departments and overseas counterparts to produce high quality, creative packaging designs.
Communicates photo direction to photo studio for final package use.
Direct illustration for packaging through our Hong Kong team and outside vendors.
Design graphics for trade ads, cross sells, point of sale displays and related promotional graphics.
Attend and participate in the weekly cross-functional team meetings.
Communicate as required with the HK/China packaging teams.
Understands how to monitor and follow packaging status schedules to keep projects on time.
Available for off-site meetings as required.
Responsible to keep manager updated on changes in package design/development.
Responsible to prepare 3D package samples (Comps) for assigned brands.
Present concepts and design strategies to cross-functional teams as well as Licensors.

Skills:

Ability to transform business objectives into high quality, creative design concepts.
Computer Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop CS5 as well as MS Office.
Working knowledge of type manipulation, photography, mechanical art production.
Strong aesthetic skills
Excellent time management skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Well developed project management skills.
Strong communication skills with ability to work with individuals at all levels.

Education:

BFA Degree in Graphics, Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or related degree
1-3 years of packaging graphic design experience
Consumer Goods Packaging Experience required.
Toy experience preferred
