Job Description

Client is looking for a great Graphic Designer to join them in client's San Francisco innovation office. For 15 years the client has run a world-class innovation and strategy outpost for one of Europe's leading communications providers. Your mission is to help us tell the client's ongoing story to customers, executive visitors, internal stakeholders, and developers, via near real-time reporting, communication, and influence in concise, visually-engaging deliverables.

You will be working with an in-house, multidisciplinary design and communications team responsible for print and digital output, including logo development, research publications, infographics, microsites, weekly e-newsletters, flyers, and event programs and invitations.

This is a fast-moving, dynamic environment that rewards flexibility, collaboration, and iteration. As part of the Knowledge Transfer team, you will be part of a collaborative group generating fast-moving design and communication projects, including:

· graphic design for print and digital properties

· branding, signage, and communications assets to support live events and other promotional channels

· website creation, support, and management

· motion graphics and video

· other types we haven’t yet thought of

Interest in digital technology is a must for this position, as are professional print and digital graphics design skills. The work rewards a distinct aesthetic style and a thoughtful point-of-view about design. Experience with social media and content analytics is strongly preferred.

As a member of the team, you will expand your ability to deal effectively with shifting priorities and tight deadlines. You will be expected to contribute your best ideas and play a central role in the design and production process.

Primary Responsibilities

Graphic design, branding, and visual identity
Design, layout, and production of decks, reports, magazines, swag, and microsites
Design and production of digital assets for multiple channels
Managing all printing efforts
Design support for multiple teams of researchers and developers
Define and drive the production of new design objects and experiences


Bachelor's Degree in Design, Communications, Marketing or other related discipline, or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in a commercial design context (digital and print preferred)
Fluency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Wordpress. Experience with Drupal is helpful
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
A working knowledge of social media and web and mobile technologies
Strong illustration and sketching experience
Ability to multi-task and respond quickly to evolving client needs
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Knowledge of video editing tools like iMovie, Final Cut Pro, or PremierePro is helpful
