Graphic Designer

Responsible for completing a variety of graphic design duties to further Company Marketing objectives. Oversee electronic pre-press functions and the layout and design of all internal and external publications. Provide professional graphics, images, and designs for brochures, print advertisements, promotional handouts, signs, direct mail pieces, newsletters, multimedia presentations, and website pages. Coordinates activities with outside printers, service agencies, advertisers, and vendors to complete projects within scheduled deadlines and ensure that printed materials are of the highest quality. Provides support to the Marketing team and other departments on special projects. Be able to meet tight and changing deadlines while maintaining a great attitude and positive outlook.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Execute graphic design projects based on messaging/creative input and brand standards

Design marketing and promotional collateral such as flyers, posters, brochures, banners, sales tools, promotional items, and other advertising material as required
Create original graphics as needed to support design projects

Revise and/or update existing collateral, projects, and images
Format collaterals in templates
Photo optimization and clean-up

Organize and maintain image and digital asset library

Attend and participate in meetings as required

Maintain professional business relations with communication distributors and suppliers, external contacts and trade professionals business

Coordinate marketing activities with printers, service agencies, advertisers, and vendors to complete design projects on time

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently
Ability to be a self-starter, identifying problems and initiating solutions independently
Ability to understand and work within our Corporate Brand Guidelines
"Can do" attitude and strong work ethic for delivering optimum creative work
Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams, with capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously and quickly
Excellent organizational skills, combined with an impeccable attention to detail.
Stays current with print/or web design, production and technology skills

Demonstrated excellence on both MAC and PC platforms. Expert skills in applications including, but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite 5 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver) and Microsoft Office
Proficient knowledge of concept, layout, typography, color, and branding
Proficient knowledge of production techniques including printing, paper and materials
Experience should include on-press supervision with both digital and offset printing
Comfortable working with paper and print vendors on bidding, managing and tracking print jobs
Understanding of pre-press processes including color techniques, digital file formats, document set-up, typography, and printing options and techniques.
Knowledge of digital image editing
Knowledge of principles and techniques of graphic illustration

Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field
2 - 4 years of relevant experience
