Graphic Designer

Vitamin T's client is seeking graphic designer with strong production art skills in Illustrator, In Design, and Photoshop.
Able to work within tight time parameters and work fluidly across departments (art director, studio production manager and production team), starting with comps and ending with print mechanicals. Most artwork will come from pre-existing assets based on brand guidelines and visual centers, and the application will be used and repurposed for collateral, environmental graphics and product.
Efficiency, communication and organizational skills are important. Sports background and experience related to sports content preferred.
Designer works with the Nike team, across the agency while partnering with senior creative staff to concept and design print, digital, promotional and sales/marketing materials that drive consistent results.


Roles and Responsibilities:
• Be a strong design presence and advocate through dynamic problem solving and presentation
• Help raise the quality and discipline of the design team and collaborate with creative, writing, film/video, production and digital teams
o Draw upon strong strategic thinking, and contribute to a client's business, brand, and marketing objectives
o Work closely and collaboratively with other studio team members
o Offer versatile communication and problem solving skills
o Advocate brand and identity standards, and extract their equity to maximum effect
• Design leadership
o Provide clear design, inspire creativity and exploration, innovative thinking, and maintain a focused effort in the development of strong concepts and solutions
o Convey by example the mechanics and attributes of team strategy and accountability
Qualifications and Requirements
• Wide personal frame of reference in areas of design, culture, media, architecture, consumer products, retail marketing, and sports/entertainment
• Dynamic 2D, 3D and human experience design thinker
• Strong graphic design and typography capabilities
• Has experience and a working understanding of the print production process
• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and fabrication methods and processes
• Holds a BA+ degree in a design discipline (preferably industrial or architectural) with a minimum of three years employment in a lead design position, agency experience strongly recommended
• Possesses confident, dynamic, highly creative vision, exhibits competence in communication and interpersonal skills, and exemplifies creative agility and professionalism to staff and client
• Understands the role of design in marketing and has the strategic understanding to combine business and aesthetic goals in developing new and effective approaches to complex design problems, turning ideas into tangible form
Agile with time management, and capable of advancing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards for execution, accuracy, and attention to detail
