Graphic Designer

Our client, a higher education system, is searching for a hybrid graphic designer who can conceptualize and execute creative solutions that support the overall marketing strategy and creative vision of the organization. This role will be asked to bring fresh, innovative ideas that meets brand strategies, and positions their brand uniquely against the competition. The incumbent will develop and refine concepts, and has the ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Brings creative vision to life across integrated marketing channels including print, web, email, mobile, social media, and video.
- Conceptualizes and executes interaction and user experience design as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Applies conceptual strategy; incorporates new design elements based on business objectives, user feedback, reporting analysis, industry trends, etc. to successfully implement a high-impact, customer-focused marketing strategy.
- Works with outside design and photography/videography vendors when appropriate on projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
- Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite applications; particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Thorough understanding of current trends in typography, color theory, and page layout.
- Ability to operate independently, yet contribute in a collaborative environment, working with senior designers and Creative Director to develop concepts, comps, layouts, and final art.
- Ability to research technology and interaction design trends; make recommendations that balance business needs, customer needs and technological capabilities when designing the user-facing aspects of new digital initiatives, features and/or enhancements.
- Creative problem solver with exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred.
- Ability and confidence to present ideas and concepts to a variety of internal clients and departments, communicate the graphic process, incorporate multiple ideas and develop consensus.
- Experience with complex branding campaigns preferred.
