Graphic Designer

Our client is looking for a very strong creative to design and produce marketing, advertising and corporate communications artwork and related

materials to build a credible, worldwide brand image in accordance with the

corporate and marketing plans.

Requirements for the position:

Produces corporate collateral and marketing materials in both print and electronic media that support

the marketing objectives of the creative brief as agreed in preliminary production meeting with

Marketing staff. Meets with manager and/or senior design staff regarding design to discuss design

requirements submitted by the client and the direction of the marketing concepts, and creates initial

design sketches. Follows art directions to produce marketing materials that support campaigns using

strong typographical and layout skills. Presents concepts with Marketing staff to senior Marketing staff

for approval. Designs marketing materials which include layout, typography, paper type, weight, size,

folds, etc; color and application of inks; illustration and photography; and specialty printing techniques

and finishing.



Creates photo manipulation, montage and/or duotones when needed to prepare final files for print

or electronic media. Researches photos and illustrations as needed for marketing materials. Creates

print and web graphics, logos and illustrations to support marketing collateral. Produces files through

final verification that artwork will be printed as designed (i.e., flight check) and other practices

to image film in prepress stage. Writes print specifications. Reviews bluelines, color proofs and

conducts press inspections to ensure quality. Makes recommendations for budgetary consideration

in regards to production cost. Monitors deadlines of simultaneous projects to assure timeliness of

delivery. Performs the graphic design duties in support of personal work assignments.



Positions clients' products competitively by maintaining an awareness of the client's market

segmentation using the Marketing Customer Information File, and other databases, using

and continually updating knowledge of the financial services industry and clients' corporate

goals and objectives, and keeping current in the graphic design field using knowledge gained through

professional associations, conferences, seminars, and internal news and information sources.



Manages small design projects and work assignments. Ensures, in collaboration with Management

Engineering, Procurement, Internal Graphics and outside vendors, quality, adherence to the corporate

image, compliance with the creative brief and the budget, and the use of appropriate methodologies in

creating final products. Monitors individual deadlines of design aspects for simultaneous projects that

are in various stages of completion to assure timeliness of delivery.
